Of computer science and computer information systems, what’s the difference?

by Octavian: What is the difference between computer science and computer information systems?
They are both majors at a college that i am looking at and was wondering what the difference was. I am interested in working with the government in some computer related field, probably computer forensics, but am not sure yet. So what are the differences and what would be best for computer forensics?

One deals with the system itself, the other with what the computer does.

You’re posting a lot of questions about computer degrees, but your questions allude to the idea that you haven’t bothered even doing the most elementary level of research so you know what you’re asking about. Do more reading so you don’t need to ask questions.
