i think the computer security system which is loaded in the ROM does this work. it helps the computer from getting any more damage.

its a setting in your BIOS (Basic Input & Output Systems). its a safety precution to shutdown once it hits a certian Temp to prvent further damage.

if you want to disable you will neede to enter your BIOS and find your hardware montior or system health status (something along the lines of that) and then “disable set shutdown temp” and “enable set warning temp” so when it reaches a temp you choose it will beep to let you know!

check your fans are working as it shouldnt be overheating. if your a gamer consider upgrading your fans and thermal paste (paste draws away temp from the CPU)

Two things

1) settings in your BIOS

2) Video Card

The BIOS controls this.

it stands for “Basic Input and Output System”, and it’s the actual PC part of the PC.

it will have security features, to shut down your PC, when Components gets to hot.

you Shouldn’t override this, as it is a safety feature.

you should download SPEED FAN. a small application which monitors the TEmps on your PC.

average Jo, should have a Graphics card around 52C idle, a Processor around 32C-40C, and chipset around 50C. if it’s higher then that, buy more fans.

it could be cause of your CPU fan, may be your CPU fan doesn’t work properly, when CPU gets hot your system shuts down automatically, open your case and check out your CPU fan or CASE fan, it could be a wire sticks in your CPU Fan

hiii..friend..

when Ur computer will be shut off mot by heating..first it will be hang than shut off…it may be problem of memory.or motherboard..

Answer by chacham16

The answer is that there are chips that are essentially thermometers. They measure the temperature is certain places of the computer and report the answer back to the computer itself. For example, the CPU itself has one such thermometer chip to determine how hot the cpu is. This information is reported to a part of the computer which is called the BIOS (Basic Input and Output System) which exists on the motherboard itself. I.e. its not something that you install, its built in to the computers hardware. The BIOS has a setting for the maximum temperature for all of the thermometers it has and if any of them go over, it cuts the power to the rest of the system (thereby turning it off).
