by : Does a computer have to have a anti virus program?
I deleted my anti virus program because it was slowing down my computer. Now my computer is working faster than ever. I was wondering is it okay to have no anti virus program on computer?

I just bought mcaffee and it really helped I downloaded all of this crap and then when i got my program i found out they were all virusses so i would say yes if you dont mind paying about 20$ I bout a mcaffee membership for like 20 $ and it is for two years and like i said it helped

you dont NEED one but its recommended, if your on a windows OS then yeah id advise you get one. some lightweight alternatives are comodo firewall and malwarebytes. norton, mcafee and other high end antivirus company software slow down, especially if your computer has slow hardware to begin with. you could also try switching to linux, no viruses there and no need for an antivirus program.
