Obviously, everyone’s answer is to use a USB/Flash Drive, which would be the easiest option.

If both of your computers are desktops, there is another option, which is more difficult, but doesn’t involve you having to purchase anything. Pull the hard drive out of your old computer and temporarily plug it into your new one. There are adapters that cost money that would make it easier, especially if your new computer is a laptop, but most desktops have a spare connection for hard drives.

Turn off and unplug both computers, unscrew/unplug the hard drive, then plug it into the similar spare connections on your new computer and start it up. Your main hard drive should be read first, and windows will load. You can then access your secondary hard drive and simply click and drag files to the new one. You can permanently install your old hard drive as a backup or data drive if there is space. If not, simply turn off your computer and remove it when you are done.
