Can you fix a computer charger that has a short in it without it frying the computer? Is there even a risk of it frying the computer? Does that even mess with the power input into the computer?

If you are talking about a usb on a computer, the only way is to dismantle the computer and unsolder the old usb and replace it with a new one. if it could just be the cable

the short could have committed a number of damages. i would suggesst you look into getting a new charger as soon as possible. continued use of a damaged charger can cause serious issues to your laptop if you know what youre going.if you were going to look online i would personally suggest you visit topmicrousa. they are very reliable and have yet to disappoint.
