Files stored on your computer with a virus can infect other computers?

by niobi: Can files saved from a computer with a virus infect other computers?
My computer got a virus and since I only use it for pictures & music. I saved everything on a UBS Memory Stick and restored my computer. I would like to know if I reopen these files will they infect the computer with the virus again?

it’s possible
i assume you have an anti virus
open my computer
after you have put the pen drive in
right click the pen drive and select scan drive with the anti virus i have

It’s possible, and not because the pictures and music transferred the the virus, but because an autorun virus got on the memory stick when you plugged it in to an infected computer. and will infect whatever computer it plugs into. Disable autorun\autoplay if you want to be safe before you plug in the memory stick to your clean computer and scan the drive with an antivirus program.
