How do you build a computer with integrated graphics?
Question
by Calem: How do you build a computer with integrated graphics?
I’m thinking of building my own computer, and I don’t want it to be too expensive, so I’m getting an amd a10 5800k which has integrated graphics. I was wondering how you build a computer with no video card.

Just like any other computer, minus the video card. You have integrated graphics, so do not buy the video card. Video card is * not * necessary to connect to a monitor. Video card is needed only if you are trying to do graphic intensive work; the computer with integrated graphics might slow down on such work; the one with a dedicated video card (a good/fast one) would not.
The integrated graphics would eat up some of your RAM. So you might have to buy a bigger RAM. That is about it.

Don’t buy a video card. Put the computer together. Turn it on.
Video cards go into an expansion slot on the motherboard. It’s not like the computer won’t hold together without a video card there.

Some processors have graphic processing units (GPU) integrated into them. That means you don’t need a separate video card to operate it, but generally, they are not as powerful as a separate video card. You do however need a motherboard that has a chipset and video ports that support the integrated graphics, like this one:
