by I teabagged 0bama: If you get a computer virus does it destroy the computer permanently ?

My computer is saying there has been damage to the hard drive and RAM. Is there a repair or is the computer shot?

Yes, some viruses are known for damaging the hardware. Take your computer to a computer shop for repair.

Not really but some can make the Hard Drive unusable and certainly mess up the setting in the bios to a point the computer wont run. Usually you can remove the hard drive and replace it with a brand new one. then reinstall windows. IF it has messed up the bios you may need to flash the bios with the correct set up and then install windows on the new drive. Its just a shame that some people in life get there Joly’s off by making life miserable for some one else.

Some will depending on the severity and the length they have been in there for. I had a computer that had a virus and it made it totally impossible to even turn on before it went all funky. The one I have currently had one and I had to use my AVG spyware tool to remove the spyware and malware viruses that plagued it. So as long as you have good spyware and virus removers, will you be able to remove them without seeking professional help………………..
