Am getting a new computer and want to transfer everything from my old computer to my new computer.
I have over 70GB of music and movies which would be 95% of the move.

A simple USB to USB connector device is the easiest. If your new computer runs Vista as the OS, Microsoft has a cable available for $ 14 plus shipping. This cable and the Vista program will move all your files, settings and some programs to the new computer. Otherwise you could pull the old hard drive and put it in an external enclosure, connected via a USB port it would be accessible by the new computer just like your internal HDD.

You have a few options. It depends on your setup. You can move them over your “network” if you have a network switch and some network cables. This is more complex but can be less expensive if you do not have an external hard drive.
If you have/can get an external hard drive that uses USB you should be able to use it on both computers. All you have to do is install it on the old computer and move your stuff to the external hard drive. Then install it on the new computer and move the stuff from the hard drive to the new computer.
You do not have to get a hard drive that is large enough to move everything at once. This is important if you are on a budget because you pay for capacity. You can get a 10 or 15 GB hard drive and repeat the steps over and over.

Floppy disk would be the worst move. Try to unplug the hard drive from the old computer and just plug it in to the new computer.. Then you can have everything and two drives! Otherwise use a DVD -RW to store files as it can store up to 8 GB at a time

floppy disk people still use those? glad that dude didn’t suggest 5 1/4 floppy lol
you can get that usb cable from best buy as well and i thnk wal mart may have it not sure on them
you can also get a flash drive or external drive but the usb cable is fast and easy
