by forgotten_hopes20: How to bring up a computer backup?

I backed up my computer on to two DVD-R disks and restarted my computer. It was like a brand new computer. How do I get my backed up files off the disks and back to my computer. I have Windows 7.

I backed up the entire computer. I used the restore feature already on the hard drive. When I restarted the computer to factory settings windows asked if I wanted to back up the files. I said yes and waited an hour or so then put in two disks for the backup.

If these files are saved onto the disc as a media disc then when you insert the disc into the computer you should be able to open it and just copy the files over. If you backed up your entire computer using a certain program, you may need to have that program so that you can use the Recovery option which will use the image that you put onto those two discs and it will set the computer exactly the way you had it when you first made the backup.
