How to watch a DVD, turn off the computer network?
Question
by crazy mom: How to watch a dvd off a network computer?
Computer A and B are networked. I can access files on both from both computers. Computer A has a dvd drive. Computer B does not. Is there any way I can play a dvd through the network and watch it on computer B? I try but I can only access the files on the dvd, and they are not regular playable files. I’m a computer idiot, so step by step instructions would be very helpful!
They are both desktop computers

A DVD… not sure unless…
A DVD is a is very clear, meaning its has a lot of bytes… better yet like 3-4 gbs some even more like 6 gigs…
When watching a video over a Network, without a dedicated realtime server is hard enough… you need buffers, at with the buffers you can at least pause the movie until it has finished buffering.
First it must spin on Computer A’s dvd rom, then must pass through your network…
If your on Wifi… nope will not work.
If your on LAN connection that isn’t 1000mbps then still will not work.
Either take the A’s rom out and put into B’s…
Or, download the contents of A’s DVD rom over to B’s harddrive then play it.
