by Beach: What was work like before computers were around?

Most of the jobs I’ve had involved computers. So what was work like before computers were around? Of course it didn’t affect non-computer jobs, whatever those are, but I bet it was pretty different and probably easier.

I am an accountant and before computers we had these HUGE ledger books we recorded the information in to.

it was pretty hard. mostly labor work. in philipines “barely any computers“. we sold stuff by flea market style. it was hard and gruesome. it sucked alot.
