by joannaSYKES.<3: How do I take all my pictures from my old computer to my new computer?

I just bought a new computer & I still have my old computer,but on my old computer I have all my pictures & so I want to put all those pictures on my new computer.So how can I do that?

You can do it several ways. First would be to copy them on a CD and re-install them on the new computer. Or you could use an external flash drive if you have one then copy on the new computer, or you could email them to yourself. good luck

fastest and easiest way is to burn the pictures to a disc an install them onto the new computer that way.

I saved all of my pictures onto a thumb drive and transferred them that way. You can also save them to a cd

External hard drive would be the best, esp. for size exceeding 1 GB. A big flash drive could easily work for a few GB.

You could burn CD-ROM/DVD-ROM. Unless all the files are around 1 GB or less in total size, then you are wasting a lot disks if they are not rewritable and it takes a long time, esp. if your older computer doesn’t have a good burner.

I would stick with what I said before.

If there isn’t much space (100 -200 MB) you can easily upload them on a website, then download from your new computer if you don’t want purchase a external hard drive or flash drive or save a CD/DVD-R

how much memory do all your pictures take up? if it’s over 700 megs, then a CD isn’t going to cut it.. unless you use multiple CDs.. it’d be better if you had a DVD burner.. a flash drive would also be a good way to do it..

or if you’re really computer savy, you could set up a shared network folder and log the new computer onto that folder and just drag all the pictures over.. that’d be the easiest if you know how to do it.. of course you probably wouldn’t be asking if you knew how to do that..
