there are several ways of doing this..one is to burn your own disc. next is to create a LAN and share (copy) it with the other computer or the last is to get a flash drive large enough to move it from you origional computer to the new one. make sure you move the setup program to the new computer or the program wont work on the new computer…the new computer wont recognize the configuration and it has to be installed on the new computer .

First of all you most likely need to install on the other computer as well. Most modern programs will need installation in order to run. If it’s a simple program or an utility, just copying will do. You have several options to copy the program or installation files accross: if you have a local network, create a share on one of them and then connect from the second to the share and copy files. You will need to install the correct network components for this. Windows XP default installation when you have a network card should include everything that is required. If you don’t have a network card you can use direct parrallel connection. You will need a special cable though (parallel bidirectional).

Depends on the type of program
Some programs will work by just copying the files from program files.
Find out where the program is installed on your friends PC and copy the entire folder to your computer. See if it works
If it doesn’t then you are missing critical files needed to make the application run properly.
Not a recommended method. Always best to run the original setup. Preferrably just buy a copy of the software for your own use.
