by MIKE Y: How do I make a network between a 32 bit computer runing xp and a 64 bit computer runing win7?

I have a 32 bit computer runing windows xp and a 64 bit computer runing windows 7 and they are hooked up to the internet through a router and a modem. How can I make a home network with these two computers?

Just make sure they both have the same workgroup name (not sure that even matters) and share folders and printers. Then when you go to “network” you should see the other computer and the folders and the printers..

The fact that one is x64 and the other 32bits makes no difference.

Setup of shared folders is just a bit more convoluted on XP and Win7 is a bit picky on security.
