it’s not a question of working with your computer, it’s whether or not it will work with your motherboard, first you need to find out what motherboard you are using and then look for a video card that works with it, you can either google “video card for (your motherboard)” or sometime the manufacturer of the video card may have a list of motherboards that the card will work with

Open the case and find out what type of slot your computer‘s motherboard has… If it’s PCI-Express, you can use any PCI-E card. If it’s AGP, you can use any AGP card.

The higher up the performance ladder you go, the more power most graphics cards will require- so you might have to upgrade your power supply. For example, the Radeon 4650 works with a 300W power supply, while the 4850 requires a 500W power supply.

If you’ve got a smaller computer case, measure how much clearance you’ve got around the video slot to make sure a particular card will physically fit. Sometimes high-end cards are too long or wide.

I recommend downloading SIW, a free utility- that will tell you all about your computer‘s hardware, including the motherboard model.
