Its good yes, but it will delete everything there, so back up first!

By returning to factory settings, do you mean reformatting your HDD or your actual hardware, this could be dangerous and I would suggest seeking technical advice before doing so please remember if you do “reformat” or return your computer to factory settings you will loose everything, back it up on an external HDD

Good sides are it will clear up any ghost files ( Files left behind after uninstalling a program ) Hidden virus‘s and will clean up your registry, just make sure u keep it nice and clean after that :>

It’s ok if you have got a serius problem that prevent Windows from running or start-up normaly and you have no other choices. You will need to update all your programs and reinstall Window service packs and other patches. It’s a time consuming work. I have done that on my laptop three times due to virus and other threats I got on the internet.
