Describe the difference between connecting a computer to a DSL modem via Ethernet and connecting a computer to a DSL modem via USB.

Not much difference. There are both cords involved.

USB is obviously slower to begin with.

With Ethernet, you plug an Ethernet cable between the modem and the computer‘s network connector.
With USB, you plug a USB cable between the modem and the computer‘s USB connector. You will also need driver software for the USB connection (this is usually not needed with Ethernet).

when a computers ethernet port doesn’t't work usb is another option, ive never seen a difference in speed the only difference is most modems and computers need to run a program(disk should be provided with modem)and one less usb port,
